The Minnesota Center for Social Studies Education (CSSE), a collaboration of eight organizations whose mission is to promote excellence in social studies education, was dissolved in 2017. The CSSE website and resources will remain but will no longer be updated.
The CSSE was created in 2009 to support educators with standards implementation, classroom resources, and opportunities for professional development. It was a partnership between the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Historical Society, in cooperation with other statewide organizations in Minnesota:
